In connection with Copenhagen Art Week NLHspace is collaborating with the exhibition spaces OK Corral and c4 Projects in creating one exhibition spreading over the three exhibition spaces.
When artists exhibit their work, they often take the circumstances around the exhibition into account working consciously or unconsciously more or less site specific or context based. What happens if you move art works out of the original context in which they have been placed and re-house them in some new space? What will they gain and what do they have to lose?
This is an exhibition that delves into the back catalogues of the three spaces to give renewed life to art works that have already been on show. It is an experiment that examines how the movement of works of art can create new perspectives by relocating, squeezing, stretching, stacking, archiving or putting them in a corner.
TESTER TESTER is a collaboration between three sites whose physicality in different ways inspires and creates settings for the art on display. Where art simultaneously challenges and defines the frames it takes over. In this context the exhibition spaces take advantage of the fact that they are placed geographically close to each other in Vesterbro. That it is possible for an audience to go from one place to another.
